Reviewing Results

An action that we have taken to support our school’s learning focus is:During our recent Professional Development Day, staff came together to look at the results from our Fall Richmond Formative Reading Assessment (RFRA). Teachers worked in small groups to discuss the results and reflect on how well these results match with what they are seeing in their classrooms
This action supports our school’s learning focus in the following ways:By coming together to look at the data, staff were able to look for any trends that are happening within our school. While we are always working on all aspects of literacy, Primary staff identified fluency and inferencing as possible areas to target, while Intermediate staff noted predicting and inferencing as areas to work on.
