Focus Statement: 

Grauer continues to be a welcoming community that promotes an inclusive and happy learning environment. Members of our school strive to create a caring and engaging learning environment for our students. We strive to ensure that Grauer is a safe, compassionate and caring place for all  members of our school community through consistent acts of kindness.

Last June, our staff came together to review report card data from the previous school year and noticed the percentage of students who were proficient or extending in English Language Arts was lower than the District average. Staff then came together to meet on our Professional Development Day in September, and given some of this data, we agreed to move to a school-wide focus on Literacy for the 2025 - 2026 school year. As a result, we have moved to a new school focus for the 2025-2026 school year.

How can we improve the literacy skills of all our learners at Grauer Elementary?

Staff are currently engaged in District Reading Assessments, and we hope this data will inform our instruction as the year goes on.
