Action Post
Staff came together to meet on our Professional Development Day in September and agreed to move to a school-wide focus on Literacy for the 2025 - 2026 school year. Classes have completed District Reading Assessments (Richmond Formative Reading Assessment and SPARK - Screener for Phonemic Awareness in Richmond Kindergarten) in coordination with their Resource Teacher. Many members of our staff are also participating in District Collaboration days, where we have the opportunity to meet with our District Consultant to focus on literacy and begin analyzing the results of these assessments. As we move into the new year, we hope that that we may begin to see some trends in the data received from these assessments that will help inform how we move forward in teaching literacy skills to our students.
